Our honeymoon was the most amazing travel experience that I have ever had in my entire life. We had the most luxurious suite and the beds were made with pure silk bedding. Every night, when we got back to our room, the beds were turned down and there were chocolates on our pillows.

We went to a local rental shop to look for some surf gear, as my husband had always wanted to try surfing, and at the shop, there was a beautiful pearl on display. My husband purchased it and told me that he would buy me a new on every year, until we were together for enough years to make a string of them.

We went snorkeling together and went on many different excursions. It was the most romantic trip ever and I am looking forward to our next exotic vacation. I absolutely love to experience new things with him and he is my best friend. I am the happiest bride in the whole world.

My cousin went to Europe for a six week vacation and didn’t end up coming home for almost four years. He ended up getting a work visa and staying. He started out working for a cheap car hire Portugal company and he loved it so much that he thought he would see more of Europe this way.

He worked there for a year before he moved on to drive for a cheap car hire Greece company. He loved this one most of all and he stayed there for two years, much to the dismay of his mother, and me, as she thought I could be his replacement and she drove me crazy.

After that he moved on to work for a cheap car hire Austria company. He stayed there for only six months and then decided he better come home for awhile before his mother ended up disowning him. He does plan to go back permanently and I am considering this as well.

I am doing a little bit of online research regarding Orlando car rentals. We are planning on taking the kids there for Christmas vacation this year and I am trying to tie up all the loose ends, so we can just go and have a nice holiday. The hotel is booked and the Disney tickets are already ordered.

I did a search on car rentals Orlando and I was surprised at how many had been booked for this time period already. It made me a little bit crazy imagining the lines we were going to be standing in at the amusement park. But, I guess that is what happens when you go over Christmas vacation.

I did manage to secure an Orlando car rental and have got a confirmation number. We ended up having to book an SUV, which would not have been my first choice, but it will get us where we need to go and that is all that matters.

Many people don’t think of Vegas as a great place to go on a family vacation, but I say that they are wrong. My husband had a business trip there, while the kids were out of school, so we decided to all go. His company offered vouchers for some Las Vegas hotel promotions and we could choose to stay at any on the list.

We called and booked a couple of rooms with the Treasure Island discounts we found online and found it to be a wonderful experience or both of the kids. There is not a shortage of things to do in Vegas with the kids and I expect we could go a dozen more times and not see the same thing twice.

For a couple of special nights, we were able to take advantage of some Mirage discounts I found online.  I really wanted to stay there because my parents told me stories of the trips they took there when I was a kid.

After we returned home, all the kids could talk about for weeks was our trip to Vegas.  It was definitely worth it, and I think we will travel there again.

I was reading a travel book the other day in the library all about Spain. I was waiting for a friend and the book happened to be sitting on the shelf next to the chair where I was sitting. I was amazed at the beauty and splendor of some of the photographs of the many villa rentals available for tourists. They were magnificent.

There was also a complete chapter on traveling through Spain in a motorhome rental. There is so much more to see this way and it makes the trip so much more complete. This was something I had never thought of before.

Skimming through the rest of the book, I noticed the vast amount of holiday rentals available to tourists and thought to myself that I might actually have to go and see for myself one day. That would have to wait though, because just then, my friend arrived.

Seems like all you ever hear about is people traveling to Europe.  Paris, Venice, and London seem to be common destinations for travelers, but do they not realize there are other wonderful places to go?

Take Brazil for example.  It is not across the world, but there are so many things to see there.  You might ask me why I have any interest in Brazil but it all comes down to the "Travel Brazil" sign that I saw in a travel agent’s window.

I went inside to speak to the travel agent, I asked about the best places in Brazil to visit - and Sao Paulo was on the top of their list.  Being the biggest city in Brazil also makes it a great place to party after the sun goes down.

So consider looking to South America for your next getaway - there is much to do and much to see.  Besides, everyone has been to Europe, but not many have made it to Brazil.  Make your trip something to talk about - go to Brazil.

Sometimes (well almost all the time) it feels really good to get away.  Away from your work, school, and the busy lives we lead.  I just came back from one such opportunity - a trip to Universal Studios in Orlando.

Now my trip planning started a few months earlier.  I found out most of the places I was going to go see from the Disney World forum.  I happened to end up at this forum when I was searching for information about Disney World.  From what I read, I was able to plan the places I wanted to see, and find a good place to stay.

We ended up staying at one of the Disney World Resort Hotels.  The place was clean, the food was good, and the rooms were amazing.  It was perhaps the best hotel stay I have had in my life.

We had a marvelous time there for the week that we were in the area.  Price wise, the vacation was very reasonable.  Even though we are done our vacations for this year, we are considering going back next year - I quite enjoyed relaxing Disney style.

Now, I don’t know about you, but I am a big Celine Dion fan.  Sadly, she hasn’t performed up in Canada for a number of years, so we are going to make the big trip down to Las Vegas to go see her.

I tried to get my husband to make Las Vegas hotel reservations online, but he is not too good with a computer.  Even though we have had computers in the home for many years, he has never taken interest in them - so I guess I will have to do it myself.

Instead of just staying at one hotel while we are there, I have booked us a room at the Excalibur hotel for the first few nights, and at the Bellagio Vegas Hotel for the rest of our trip.

We still haven’t decided whether we are going to fly there or drive.  But we have a few weeks to decide what we are going to do before we go - I’ll just have to convince Steve that we should fly First class.

A co-worker of mine recently returned from a trip to Canada. The pictures he brought back were breathtaking and encouraged me even more to get my trip planned for a ski trip to Canada. His trip was amazing, though he did tell me about a potentially serious situation he encountered while he was over there – his girlfriend had become very sick one evening and was rushed to the hospital. It turned out she needed her appendix removed. Luckily, they had purchased medical insurance before their travels and the whole procedure was covered.

The travel medical insurance was new to me, so I asked him about why he purchased medical insurance when we already had a group health plan here at work. He said that before he left he had inquired with our insurance company and found out that they don’t cover anything done outside of the U.S. His wife decided that they would be better off getting the insurance – and they were happy they did.

Just like regular health insurance, travel insurance takes care of you when you are outside of the U.S. There are many insurance companies that offer these types of policies and most of the time you can get a quote and coverage in no time at all. They cover everything from supplemental insurance (in case your health insurance does cover certain procedures abroad) to full coverage for everything from visiting a doctor, to hospitalization.

Now that my wife and I are planning a trip abroad, we’ve taken his advice and went ahead and purchased travel medical insurance. You can never be too careful.
