How to Find Cheap Holiday Destinations

Posted By Admin on August 3, 2008 @ 5:52 pm

Sometimes I feel that when you go to travel agent that they want to sell you the most expensive vacation possible.  I suppose it makes sense as most of them are working on commission and the bigger the sale, the bigger their cut.

So instead of visiting a travel agent this year, I decided to take my search online looking for cheap holidays that I could afford.  Most of my searching was done on travel forums so that I could find unbiased reviews of great locations throughout the world.

In many of these forums, there is mention of a great beachfront town of Icmeler Turkey that seemed to have everything that I was looking for.  In fact, I was able to find cheap flights to Turkey and that made the location even more attractive.

So from now on, instead of talking to a travel agent, I think I’m going to look online to find cheap holiday destinations as well as get opinions and suggestions regarding where to go.

More Money to Shop with in Vegas

Posted By Admin on July 27, 2008 @ 11:03 am

I have a lot of friends that take special trips down to Las Vegas just to go shopping.  These are usually weekly events characterized with a lot of shopping and watching the many shows available in the evening.  Typically my friends spent a lot of money there and they always come back wishing they could have spent more.

Stacy had always thought that there would be some way that they could spend more money shopping and pay less for the Las Vegas hotels that they stayed at.  So she made it her goal of finding any Las Vegas promotion that they could take advantage of and save money on their accommodations.

After a bit of searching online, she was able to find some Mirage promotion codes that they could use to save money on on each night that they stayed in Las Vegas.  Not only did that mean that they could have more money to shop but they also had the opportunity to stay a couple extra nights each time they visited the city.

And that is exactly what they do.

Finally Getting My Dream

Posted By Twyla on June 30, 2008 @ 2:09 am

More than anything, since I was about sixteen, I have wanted to get breast implants. My parents were completely against it, so I knew that it was going to have to be something that I did when I was an adult and I was going to have to come up with the money on my own.

When I finished college and got a job, I started looking into what it would cost for me to have the procedure done. It was very expensive and I had a lot of student loans to pay off. I was bummed, as it seemed that I was going to have to wait a lot longer.

I met a girl who told me that she had plastic surgery in Costa Rica for a fraction of the price. She said they did a great job and I decided to look into it. I was surprised when I found out that it would only cost me a quarter of what I would have to pay here, and that included the traveling.

I leave next week and I finally feel like my dream is coming true.

Feeling Like Royalty

Posted By Twyla on June 5, 2008 @ 11:40 pm

When my friends and I were planning our trip to Europe, we decided that we were going to do everything in style. We looked into limousine hire for all of the stops we were going to make. We thought that if we were going to be spending the money, we would go all out.

We booked a limo hire Kent to pick us up at the airport and take us to our fancy hotel. I knew that I would feel like a celebrity riding around England in a fancy hired car and my friends agreed that this was absolutely the way to do it.

We traveled throughout Europe and had the greatest times of our lives. When it was time to head home, we got a limo hire Surrey to take us back to the airport. We felt like princesses for one last time and I would say it is the greatest trip that I have ever taken.

Lovely Day in Vegas

Posted By Admin on April 26, 2008 @ 1:12 pm

Well, what a lovely day it is in Las Vegas today.  I thought that it would be nice to have a change of venue for where I blog, so I jumped in the car with my laptop and went for a drive.  Where I ended up was Las Vegas.

Now, it isn’t the first time that I have been here, but I love coming back.  There are just some Las Vegas attractions that I can’t help but see each time that I am here.  They just never get old for me, and I am in awe each time that I am here.

I think that I will also take advantage of some Las Vegas hotel deals that I just found online and make a weekend of it.  I don’t seem to go on holidays as much anymore, and I think that this weekend away will be a nice treat.

Scared to Leave the Country

Posted By Admin on April 23, 2008 @ 2:22 pm

Yes, I can admit that some things in life scare me.  Some of the more popular ones such as death, singing, and fear of heights all apply to me.  In that respect, I am very normal.  But otherwise, I have one other, stranger fear - the fear of leaving the country.

Yes, I am scared to leave the country - you read it right.

You would think that leaving the country would be an easy task, but it is something that I have never done.  I think that it is definitely more about the fear of the unknown, and not really anything to do with the traveling part.

Even though I am scared, I have been looking at some different worldwide trips and tours in an attempt to get out of my shell.  I know that I am a long ways off from actually taking a trip, but I thing that I am making steps in the right direction.

Love the People, Love the Food

Posted By Twyla on April 3, 2008 @ 10:04 pm

While traveling through India last year, I became a huge fan of the food, particularly in the south. I am a bit of a fussy eater, so one would have never guessed that I would even find the food palatable, but I found the food to be seasoned perfectly with just the right amount of spices.

One thing is for sure and that is no one could ever accuse their food of being bland. Along my travels, I acquired quite a few South Indian recipes that I could try for myself when I got home. I tried several and, though I could not get them to taste exactly the same as what I tried while there, they all turned out fairly well.

I guess it could not have been all bad because I have had more than one friend ask me to share some of my South India recipes with them. One friend even invited me over and much to my chagrin, hers tasted way better than mine had. It was quite a treat and I can’t wait to go back for the authentic thing again.

Our Trip to California

Posted By Admin on March 10, 2008 @ 10:44 pm

My wife has always wanted to go to California.  You see, she has had so many friends that have gone down there and came back with wonderful pictures and stories about the many adventures that they have had.

Also, she has never left the country.  The closest she has ever been to California is the RASS - a magazine published there.  It is very worn out because I catch her looking at it each and every day.  She has found two places that she would like to go out there: the city of Murrieta and the city of Temecula.

She has the trip all planned out with us visiting wineries, a balloon festival, and even the restaurants she wants to eat at.

What she doesn’t know is that I am planning to take her in just two weeks - when we are both on our vacations from work.  It will be so nice to see her dreams come true - and I can’t wait to see her reaction.

Craving A Cheese Steak

Posted By Twyla on @ 7:59 am

A long time ago, when I was much younger and much more brave and spontaneous than I am now, I decided to fly to Philadelphia to get a Philly cheese steak. I used to eat these all the time when I lived there and I had never found one since then that tasted even near as good as the real thing.

One day, I was craving one really bad and, since I had nothing better to do, I hopped on a plane to go and get one. When I arrived, I caught a ride from the Philadelphia airport transportation company to the neighborhood that I used to live in and got off at my favorite little restaurant. I ate two sandwiches and then called an old friend.

She met me there and we went for a walk together to catch up on old times. She then gave me a ride back to the airport and I cam home. It may very well be the craziest thing I have ever done and I would never even consider it now, but it is also an experience that I will never forget.

One Happy Bride

Posted By Twyla on March 1, 2008 @ 7:29 pm

Our honeymoon was the most amazing travel experience that I have ever had in my entire life. We had the most luxurious suite and the beds were made with pure silk bedding. Every night, when we got back to our room, the beds were turned down and there were chocolates on our pillows.

We went to a local rental shop to look for some surf gear, as my husband had always wanted to try surfing, and at the shop, there was a beautiful pearl on display. My husband purchased it and told me that he would buy me a new on every year, until we were together for enough years to make a string of them.

We went snorkeling together and went on many different excursions. It was the most romantic trip ever and I am looking forward to our next exotic vacation. I absolutely love to experience new things with him and he is my best friend. I am the happiest bride in the whole world.
