After the birth of our first child, not too long ago, my husband and I were given a gift certificate to go to a store and pick out her crib for her.  We looked around at several different cribs as we were not sure what we were looking for.  It was a very new experience for us.

We found one that we really liked that would later on convert to a toddler bed for our little girl.  It was very reasonably priced and because of this we were also able to get some new baby bedding to go with the crib.  I knew that it was going to look so nice set up in the nursery.

When we got home I could not wait to set it up.  As my husband had to go to work, I decided that it was going to do it by myself.  I am a pretty handy person and it turned out all right.  That night, when we put our baby to bed, she slept the longest she has since she was born.

I would have never thought that owning pets would make my life a much busier.  Just like having children, you need to take them to the doctor, spend time with them, and buy them stuff based on their needs.  In fact, I find having pets to be both rewarding and tiring.

I found myself today shopping for our cat and dog.  Usually, we only need to go out once per month to buy the necessary supplies for the entire month.  So this was my one shopping trip this month for our pets.

Amazingly, my list was not very long and I did not have to spend much time at the store.  I picked up some cat litter, one nylabone, and a couple dog toys.  The hardest part of the whole trip was to pick out dog toys for my dog wouldn’t chew through in one day.  It turns out, that the pet store has a seven day guarantee on all dog toys and if our dog manages to chew through it, we can get a refund.

Last year was indeed a great year.  You see, it was last spring when I bough a  Mosquito trap and I put it in my yard.  Even after the first week, I could notice a big difference in the number of mosquitoes in my yard - it was less than everywhere else.

But, at the end of last summer, the bulb in the trap burnt out and I needed another one.  Sadly, they were sold out for the season.

With summer quickly approaching, I went to the store today to buy a replacement bulb for my trap.  I found them and bought two, just to make sure that I wouldn’t run into the same problems as last year.

I think I will put the trap out next week as it is starting to get warm.  Sure, there are no bugs out yet, but I figure if I start catching them as soon as they come out, I will be able to enjoy the outdoors without mosquitoes sooner.  And life without mosquitoes is like heaven on earth - yes it is that good.

I was walking through Ikea with my mom one day when I saw some home office furniture that I absolutely fell in love with. I could picture it in my home and I knew that I needed to somehow come up with the money to buy it. I spend a lot of time in my office and I thought that if I had this nice furniture, it would be a lot more bearable.

The office chairs were very retro looking, and yet, they were extremely comfortable. I think that since I sit in front of the computer for so long, it was worth the money to have a comfortable chair to sit in. My mom agreed with this and she said that since I used the computer so much for school, she would buy me the chair.

This was really nice of her, but I wanted the whole set. The chair would just look too out of place without the other office furniture that goes with it. I saved all of my babysitting money and was soon able to buy it. I love the office now. It is my favorite room of the house now, and that is saying a lot because I also really love my bedroom.

I had to ask my friend about many of the accessories that were available for cars in the store we were browsing through. I had a car, but I was not familiar with most of the things in the store. To me, accessorizing your car was about buying a nice seat cover and a cool looking air freshener.

My friend, however, was all about accessorizing his car. To him, it was about the great rims and the stereo and that kind of thing. On this particular trip, he was looking at getting a train horn for his car. He didn’t have quite enough money saved up, but it was going to be his next purchase.

I swear he spends nearly every single cent he has on his car. I have to admit though, that it is a really nice car. I love going cruising in his car and I feel cool just sitting in it. I spend all my money on my car, too, but it is mostly on gas, as I have a real guzzler. Anyway, the store was cool, but I got bored really quickly. He bought his horn and I was happy to get out of there and go for a milkshake.

I just noticed in the past week the number of friends that I have that carry around MP3 players and other mobile gadgets.  Funny thing is, most of my friends don’t make enough money to pay for all the toys that they have - so I thought I would dig deeper.

After grilling a couple of them, they let their secret spill: they were all buying their toys at an India Gadget store online.  Now, having never purchased any electronics online, I was a bit skeptical, but all my friends assured me that it was safe - and that they all have had good experiences up to this point.

So, I went home an did a quick search for "Gadget India" and clicked on the first result.  Unfortunately, it was a gaming forum - not what I was looking for.

Back at the search results, I found what I was looking for - in the second spot.  After visiting the site and poking around for half an hour, I think I have found the place to find cheap gadgets online.  Now, all I have to do is decide which one to buy… there are just too many choices.

A couple of months ago, my wife had suggested that we could do a bathroom renovation since ours was getting a little old.  Sure, I don’t really like the flower print wall paper, or the chipped tub that is rusting, but it has served us well.  Since we have been doing a little better financially lately, she told me it was time.

So, we have been looking online for discount bathroom vanities.  There have been some great deals, but so far my wife and I cannot agree on what we want.  The problem is she wants something girly, whereas I want something a little darker.

With a lack of consensus, we decided to find a set of shower doors and shower stall to replace our current bathtub.  This will be the bathroom attached to the master bedroom, so we will quite enjoy having a shower, instead of the weak shower head we currently have, we will be getting a stronger one.  Also, we have been getting sick of shower curtains - we have always ended up with water on the floor.

We still have a bit of shopping to do before we can do our bathroom remodeling.   But, as it is coming together, I can see the future: we will have a nice bathroom.

I recently purchased an order of stainless steel jewelry from a lady that sells it from a catalogue in her home. I like the pieces and I thought if I just placed an order now, I could put it away and not have to scrounge for a gift for a long time, when I needed one on short notice.

She does not usually offer her clients the opportunity to place a stainless steel jewelry wholesale order, but she allowed me to as I was placing a rather large order and she would still be able to make a profit. She thought that I had been a good customer to her and she knows I will continue to be in the future.

Buying the wholesale stainless steel jewelry did not hinder any business she will get from me later on, as most of the pieces I ordered are the same and will be used as gifts. I will still be placing orders with her for my own personal pieces and she knows that.

The other day I saw a bunch of replica watches and they really got me thinking about whether it really mattered to anyone if anything was real anymore or not. I know that replicas are the only way that some people can afford higher end things, but are they really any different than the real thing?

Take for instance, the Rolex replicas. I thought that they were really nice and had to be just as good as the original. But, I have never been really close to a real Rolex, so maybe they are different and maybe many people would be able to tell a real one from a replica.

I decided to check this out. I purchased one of the knock-offs and then went to a store that sold real Rolex watches. They were fifteen times the price I had just bought my fake one for. I asked if I could look at one. It was very similar to mine. I determined that it really does not matter at all.
