Now that Christmas is coming around people are going to feel the hit from the giant that was Woolworths now not being around. Woolworths or “Woolies” to many people were the shop of choice when it came to many people shopping for their kids over the Christmas period. Why did this occur?

Well for one Woolworths was a company that would have been 100 years old this November so many people had shopped with them for their entire life and a lot of them had worked there when they were younger. Woolworths was known as a company where everyone could find something they wanted, it wasnt often you went in and didn’t come out without buying something.

The toys that were available were both of decent quality and affordable compared to the other competitors. The reason they sadly went down the tube was due to the fact the companies board of directors were a bunch of idiots wasting money on ideas that any normal staff member could have said just will not work. The reason that I am able to say all of this is because I was actually a staff member and stayed through it until the end.

Well believe it or not Woolworths still exists in the form of a very poor website which sadly well never hit the town centres again. So where can you find your Christmas Toys this year? Do not go to the next company that comes to your head, have a look on the net. Since the fall of Woolworths there have been many sites that have started to sell toys at an affordable price so your best bet is to look around for the best deals.

Whatever the choice you have make sure that this Christmas you are not ripped off by the gigantic companyies!

Just make sure that you are always looking around for the best kind of deals out there, I know it sounds like a really obvious thing to do but many people will just buy in the shops because it sounds easier.
