The flight departs Vancouver for London at 20.45hrs. It gets to the London Heathrow airport at 14:00 on the following day. You will have lots of time available on your hands as the connecting flight will only leave for Johannesburg at 17.50 hrs. From there brace yourself for a night flight of about 12 hours or so. The flight reaches Johannesburg at 06:35 on the 3rd day.

Virgin Atlantic Airways

This flight leaves Vancouver at 18:05 and flies to London where it arrives at 11:45 the following day. You have a whole afternoon for sight seeing as the connecting flight departs at 18.00hrs. The arrival time in Johannesburg is 07:05 on the 3rd day.

Lufthansa

This is an evening flight that is also quite chepa. It leaves Vancouver for Frankfurt at 15.40 hrs where it will arrive at 10.50 hrs the next day. This flight is ideal for those who want to spend a bit of time in frankfurt as the next available flight will take off at 22.35 hrs. It arrives in Johannesburg at 10:00 just in time to prepare for lunch.
