In this article I will be writing about the ways in which you can ensure examination success, whether these are school examinations, college examinations, industry examinations or any other form of examination; the rules for success are basically the same. I hope you enjoy the read.
I am by no means a teacher however I do have my own personal experiences in these matters! Nowadays in my business life I am involved in the fields of stuttering therapy, web promotion tips and also with a number of cost reduction consultants.
My fifteen year old step daughter is currently taking her GCSE examinations here in the UK. She is a really great person, she is decent, honest, caring, trustworthy and she certainly understands right from wrong. She is also a very sociable teenager; this is very good but at times can have its drawbacks, as you will see later in the article.
To gain success in any examination I believe that preparation is the key. Each person will be fully aware of just how much pre-examination work they need to put in prior to the exam for example how much revision. These will be dependent on how strong they are on the particular subject and also how good their understanding of it is.
Just let us think for a moment about the actual time when we are taking the exam. If we know that we have put in the required effort and required amount of preparation we are then able to relax with the comfort/peace of mind that we could have “done no more”. If on the other hand we are taking the examination knowing that we could and should have done more then this will put us straight away on “a downer”. We may even have certain voices in our head stating “you have let yourself down; there is no way that you are going to pass this exam because you have been lazy”. This is a stress that any person does not need on the day of the examination and certainly not during the examination.
These are points that I have tried to get across to my step-daughter but at times it seems as if her friends are far more important than any examination. She always seems to be talking to her friends on the telephone or via some messaging service on the internet. She will learn as I am going to make sure that she learns! At the end of the day what you get out of any examination is the same as what you put in.
