The most common warning sign of diabetes is frequent urination. The kidneys become loaded with glucose due to the cells inability to use it and they try to flush it out by drawing fluids from the body. This leads to the second sign of diabetes.

When the kidneys are constantly working to clear the glucose out you will have a thirsty sensation. If you feel thirsty no matter if you have drank a lot of liquids or not you should get tested.

Obesity and diabetes are directly linked. If you have type 1 diabetes the pancreas stops making insulin. This then leads to the cells starving for energy and then the fat stored is used and lean muscle will be lost causing weight loss.

You can feel very tired when cells are unable to get glucose from the blood. So this is another sign.

This symptom occurs over time. As blood glucose levels increase in the blood stream nervous system damage can occur. Since this is a gradual process, much damage can be done before a diagnosis is made. This leads to tingling and numbness especially in the extremities.

Blood circulation allows oxygen to reach an injury and take care of bacteria. If you are having problems healing this is another symptom of diabetes.

There are also signs of diabetes if you have blurry vision, itchy skin, or extra dry skin.
