Using natural ways to improve your fertility is nothing new, and many couples trying for a baby will often look at taking vitamins or herbs to help improve their odds of conceivng. This article will go over the top four supplements that may improve your chances of falling pregnant.

Vitex (Agnus Castus / Chasteberry)

Vitex can help balance your hormones, which is why its particularly beneficial for women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) or women who have a luteal phase defect (the time between ovulation and menstruation which is mean to be 11 days or longer).

Because Vitex often takes a few months to be fully effective at balancing your hormones you should continue taking it until you have a confirmed pregnancy.

Vitamin B6

Another vitamin that is often overlooked is Vitamin B6, but it really should be given more credit because it can enhance a woman’s fertilty dramatically. In fact when used in combination with Vitex it can give you a greater chance of falling pregnant each cycle. It works to help balance any hormones and improve your cervical fluid.

Many women are deficient in B6 without knowing it and that can cause an excess of estrogen in the body making it difficult to conceive.

Just adding 60mg per day is enough to improve many womens chances of conceiving.

Dong Quai (Angelica Sinensis Root)

If you have circulation problems then Dong Quai will be able to improve that, especially when it comes to the reproductive system. This is why it’s beneficial to fertility because you need good blood movement to carry the necessary hormones through the blood stream during the various phases of your cycle.

Evening Primrose Oil

Evening Primrose Oil (EPO) is great for improving your cervical fluid and helping you get egg white cervical mucus which is considered the most fertile cervical fluid that you can have. It should only be taken in the first half of your cycle until you ovulate.
