A Conservative View on Brainwashing in Public Schools

Can you imagine a video of grade school children singing Obama’s campaign slogans during the last presidential campaign? Even after the election, we see more evidences where teachers in public schools are brainwashing our youth with liberal messages. We have seen many examples that this brainwashing is happening, from young children being embarrassed in front of their friends when saying something conservative, to college students fearing their grades will be lowered if they dare to state a conservative concern.

A case in point, a teacher in the public school system told her room to support Obama on the Tuesday before the election by wearing blue. She did not give those children who were for McCain the opportunity of wearing red.

The most shocking, on the news of 10/7/08, a militant-looking group of middle school boys were shown on another video, dressed in black uniforms with an Obama logo on their shirts. They were doing a military-like exercise of marching while displaying clinched fists and other confrontational gestures, and singing praises to Obama. There was an Obama sign in the background. They obviously had practiced this routine many times, all this done in a public school, using class time, and the services of a teacher with salary paid for by taxpayers. Apparently, the American public never objected using their taxes for this purposes.

Continuing to brainwash young Americans with liberal ideology only while not letting conservatives present their philosophy, too, should be the primary concern of educators right now. Why is this? Because examples from history are being forgotten. Do you not remember Hitler’s Youth? Preadolescent boys, about ten years old, were taken into Hitler’s Youth for physical training and warlike arts. The aim of Hitler’s Youth was to teach the boys to hate Jews and to believe in their own Aryan racial domination, and to search out any behavior of their parents that went against Hitler’s ideology and report this to the German Gestapo who often arrested these parents. Similar programs were forced on the girls. The success of Hitler’s Youth is well-known. Hitler formed the basis of his army from his youth group, an army of soldiers unable to form thoughts on their own, and likewise unable to question commands they were given.

Obama is not, however, the main point I am stressing in this educational problem. Obama’s campaign just gave prime examples of indoctrination.

This is my point. Liberal views are invading our classrooms more and more, drowning out conservative issues. Far too many American children are presented with just one side and this is often the liberal side. Going hand in hand with liberal brainwashing is political correctness out of control. Students daring to state a conservative viewpoint are often labeled a racist, a homophobe, or a sexist. These labels are not only embarrassing, but also damaging to the student so accused. Few dare to open themselves up for this type of criticism.

Schools need to teach all sides of the important issues. We Conservatives must be aware of any kind of programs supporting one biased viewpoint over another, if done with taxpayer money in public institutions.

From preschool through state supported colleges and universities, we Conservatives must become more involved in what our schools are teaching. Brainwashing just the liberal side of an issue in public schools must stop. Please give me your opinion on this timely educational matter.
