Unlike the "olden" days when people would go on a trip to a particular destination (for example, the mountains, Italy, and so on), the goal of vacations have changed. Instead of going to visit a destination, most people are looking for an experience, and a great example of this can be found within the sporting industry.
It wasn’t until I read about New York sports tourism on a blog that I came across that I realized that there was a market for sports tourism. Now, this is an opportunity for the tourist to experience those things that they only see on television – a true sporting experience.
For example, something as simple as experiencing a real Giants game instead of just writing about it on a Giants football blog can make dreams come true.
