As my children grow older, it becomes increasingly difficult to get them gifts that they appreciate. They are too old for toys and we refuse to buy them the video game systems that they desire. We are constantly trying to come up with unique ideas for gifts that they will like and we will allow.
When I was complaining about this to a neighbor, she gave me the all-time greatest gift suggestion. She suggested that we buy the theme park tickets. There is a theme park not too far away from us and she said that when she got them for her kids, it gave them something to do, they appreciated it and she never heard them saying they were bored all the time.
I told my husband about the suggestion and he agreed wholeheartedly. Our kids absolutely love rides and the theme park has a lot of good shows and displays throughout the summer. They are always begging us to go and this year they won’t have to. They can go as often as they like.
I have done computer consulting for many years now and have seen many things. Obviously, broken computers would be one of them, but some of the most scary things that I have seen have been in relation to the Internet. I have seen client’s computers get hacked in an instant, rampant attacks by viruses, and so much spyware that there is nothing you can do except re-install the operating system.
In an effort to combat a lot of these problems caused by my customers surfing online, I have created a group of software that I encourage all my clients to use to protect their computer from problems due to surfing online, and as a preventative measure from future problems.
I recommend to each of them to use Internet privacy software. A good example of this would be ParetoLogic Privacy Controls. This ensures that all the history and cookies of the sites that they visit are removed from their computer when they are done and ensures that the next computer user will not have access to their banking information and passwords from other sites.
The other piece of software that I suggest using is a web Anonymizer software. This software hides the IP address of the computer from would be identity thieves, reducing the chances that your computer is hacked.
Since I have implemented the use of these software packages on client’s computers, there has been a drop in calls. Thankfully, I am no longer called for repeat computer problems – now the calls are just for serious ones.
The highlight each month for me is to read a computer magazine that I am subscribed to. I have been an avid reader of the publication for some time now, and I do quite enjoy the two hours that it takes me to read it.
This month, the issue is concerned with registry cleaner software reviews. It is really good timing, as I have had a persistent error pop up each time that I have booted into Windows for the past week.
I found myself reading the article. It started off with a Regcure review and the software sounded promising. It almost seemed like it would be the clear winner until I turned the page.
There I read a review about Registry Mechanic, and it turned out that it was the publication’s choice for best registry cleaner software. So, I think that I might just have to go buy a copy – and get rid of the error messages once and for all.
My favorite accessories that I own are my Joe Rodeo watches. I absolutely love them and can be found wearing one at all waking moments of my life. One day, my watch fell off and I flew into a panic because my arm felt naked. I need to be wearing a watch. It is a part of me and is as important to me as wearing underwear.
I am not really very much into jewelry bling, but I do love my watches. I could care less about necklaces or bracelets or rings. In fact, the only jewelry that I really wear are my gold hoop sleeper earrings and I never ever take them out or change them. I guess, in a way, they are a part of my body as well.
Some might say that I have a bit of a watch fetish, because when a guy is wearing a really nice watch, it’s hot. Some people say that it is a man’s eyes or a man’s smile that first attracts them, but for me it is his watch. Plus, if he wears a nice watch, it probably means that he is punctual and what would be better than having a guy who is never late.
I have been reading about the new television technologies that are on their way in the coming years. I have been considering purchasing a new television, but I think I will wait for the next generation of televisions to arrive.
My reasoning behind my wait is because of a video I watched today on Sony’s XEL 2 OLED television. According to the recording, the image quality, and color will be superior in every way compared to the quality of today’s LCD televisions.
The other thing that gets me excited is the fact that they are so thin. Instead of talking inches, we are talking about millimeters – that will be a big difference. Much like the transition from a tube TV to LCD was space saving, the transition from LCD to OLED TV will save even more space.
There are also talks of using WOLED (while organic light emitting diode) panels as lighting devices. Instead of having big, bulky bulbs, your lighting will just be a panel attached to your ceiling.
When I was in high school I had several students try to buy term papers from me. I was always an exceptional student when it came to English, as I had a love for books at a very young age. I was not the most social person, but I had the vocabulary of an adult by third grade. This is due to the fact that I was very well read and could always be found with my nose in a book.
When I entered high school, my social life got even worse. Rather than try to make friends, I would spend all of my spare time in the library. I knew my high school library inside and out. I would read novel after novel and I would write book reports on them just for fun. I guess I was more than a little bit of a geek, but I was not sure how to be anything else.
One of the popular girls in my class offered to be my friend if I would give her a custom written essay for a big English assignment. I declined and was shunned even further. But, even then, I knew that this was not the type of friend that I wanted to have. Thankfully, things were very different in college. I did not turn into a social butterfly, but I did make some friends and the few that I had were all that I needed.
My husband is one of the most handsome men that I have ever met. It might be because he is so good to me or that love truly is blind, but I find him to be so completely good looking. He dresses himself really well and keeps himself clean and well groomed, which really helps to make him all that much better looking.
He also always smells incredible. I think he has impeccable taste when it comes to cologne. He does not wear cheap stuff and my nose knows the difference. It is nice that he will actually splurge on himself in the name of beauty. But, like I said, I may be a little biased because he is the man that I married.
I have gotten comments about how trendy he is from other people. In fact, many of my friends say that he is the best metrosexual that they know and that they wish he could come and teach their husbands how to pick out a nice outfit. Maybe all the guys could go shopping together one day. That is funny because it will never happen.
My brother told me that a key to making it though college with good enough grades to keep my parents happy, would be to occasionally buy a custom term paper. He told me that when things get completely out of control and overwhelming, it would be a lifesaver and would give me more time to study for midterms and final exams.
I was shocked and appalled that he would stoop to buy a custom research paper. It was dishonest and just plain wrong. I told him what I thought of him and he just smirked and told me to come back during the Christmas break and tell me what I thought of him then. I was still angry with him when I left for college two weeks later. In fact, I almost told mom what he had done.
I am glad that I had not told mom, though, as I was only there for two months before I stooped to his low level and called him to find out how to buy essay papers. He laughed at me and then helped me get the best grade I had received so far all term. When I came home for Christmas, my brother and I now had a bond that had never been there before and for the first time in my life, I was thankful that my brother was such scum. That is because I was now scum with him.
Throughout my life, everyone has always told me that you get what you pay for. I never really took much notice to that phrase as it really didn’t seem to apply to me.
But recently, I had an experience that changed my thinking. You see, I had purchased some cheap computer data recovery software at the store a number of weeks back, and I decided to try it out.
Things seemed to be going smoothly until I tried the photo recovery program that came with the software – and it didn’t work. I needed to try a different software solution for my problem.
After purchasing Recovery My File data recovery software for more than the original software I tried, I had finally learned my lesson. The software that was more expensive, did a better job and was able to recover everything that I wanted.
Needless to say, I will keep the phrase “you get what you pay for” closer to my heart now – I finally know what it means.
When I finished high school, I decided to go to a trade school, rather than to go to University. I figured that, by doing this, I would not have to write very many term papers, which I was not very good at. I also figured I would be finished school much quicker and could get on with the rest of my life.
This may sound like I am an underachiever and lack self confidence. On the contrary, I was one of only six people in my class that decided to further my education at all. I just knew that writing tons of research papers would stress me out to the point that I may drop classes altogether and I was just fine with a trade career. It wasn’t like I was training to pump gas.
The other thing that appealed to me about trade school over college was that I did not have to write an essay to get into the school. I loved the fact that I now only had to fill out an application and send it along with my grades. I was accepted very quickly and trained to be an LPN. I love my job and I know that I made the very best decision for me.
