I was going through some boxes in my basement the other day, when I found the papers from my very first individual medical insurance plan. It seemed like so long ago and so many things have changed since then. I wondered if this particular company was even around anymore.

The papers stated that I was covered for personal accident insurance. I had some pretty good coverage back then for a single young girl fresh out of college. If only coverage were as cheap today as it was back then. But, now I have a whole family to insure.

It is important for us as a family to have vision insurance, and I am pretty sure that this is something that was not even offered back then. We all wear eyeglasses and I have a history of eye diseases in my family. I never know when one of these may strike me or one of my children. Thank goodness that we have the coverage we need.

I have a great plan to start a totally unique business. At least I think it is a great plan. I have an appointment with some very highly recommended business advisors. I would like to run my business plan by them and get their honest opinion about it. If they think it is a good idea than it is a done deal.

Another thing I will have to do before I launch the business is to find myself a very good tax accountant. I am sure that this business is going to make a lot of money and I think that having a good accountant behind me will be a smart decision. I can see myself being audited in the future.

I am so excited for the launch of my new company. The great thing about it is that I can totally run it from home and will not need to hire any employees to get started. In fact, I could launch it tomorrow if I was ready. That is as simple as it is going to be. I know I have a good thing here and as soon as I am given the green light, I am going to setup shop.

I can remember when I owned a film camera years ago.  The only way that you could accidentally delete the pictures in it was opening the back of the camera in the light.  Except for dropping the camera, or a child getting hold of it, it was very rare that you would ever lose your pictures.

Fast forward to the digital age.  Now, your pictures can be deleted at the touch of a button.  Whether it is on purpose, or by mistake, sometimes you just want to do digital camera recovery and get those pictures you deleted back.

My friends have just finished their Canadian Immigration Interview and are now well underway to becoming Canadian citizens. I met them a few years ago, while I was traveling in Europe and we became fast friends, having many common interests.

I guess I talked about home quite a bit and made it sound like an amazing place to live. I don’t think that I was exaggerating, as I really do find it an amazing place to live, but then I never had to take a Canadian Citizenship test in order to be able to live here. I was lucky enough to be born here and have my freedom handed to me at birth.

My friends are very easy going people, though, and they said that the Ontario G1 test scared them more than anything else did in the whole immigration process. I know that they will do well in everything and I am glad that they are here to stay.

I would say that I am not a very needy woman.  I don’t really care for makeup, don’t care about what car I drive, and I just don’t care about having the best clothes.  No, I would say that I am pretty simple, but there is one thing that I do care about: having a nice home.

For me, a nice home makes a big difference in my life.  To put it simply, we will spend as much time at home as we do working - and I don’t want to live in a dump.  Though our home is okay right now, I have been considering switching our shower baths for something different.  Problem is I just don’t know what I want.

I have been looking through many magazines in an attempt to get some ideas of what I would like our bathroom suites in our home to look like.  So far, all I can think about is having one of those whirlpool baths and soaking in it.  That would be shear delight.

So, I have added a new bath to my wish list for my home… I’ll have to think some more on what else I just might need to change around here.

Well, another day has gone by and it was really busy.  Between work, taking the kids to a baby sitter, and going to a seminar, the day just flew by.  Though there seemed to be a lot of activity, I don’t really feel that I got much of anything done - but that is okay.  I really should be going to bed, but there is just one problem:

I can’t sleep.

So, instead of just laying there, staring up at the ceiling, I have decided that it would be a great time for me to download ringtones for my phone.  I figure that it is about the easiest thing to do for my tired mind, and something that would be fun too.

I found a few sites that have Blackberry ringtones (the phone I have) and I thought I would take a look.  There were some good ones that I found that I immediately downloaded to my phone, but I wanted some more, so I thought that I would broaden my search.

Luckily there was some Verizon ringtones available on their site.  I found a couple more to download and I think I will call it a night…

You would think that setting up a business would be relatively easy - but there are subtle intricacies that one needs to be aware of.  If you don’t know all the answers (and all the questions), then it comes time to consult your team of experts - and they will find the answers for you.

I just noticed in the past week the number of friends that I have that carry around MP3 players and other mobile gadgets.  Funny thing is, most of my friends don’t make enough money to pay for all the toys that they have - so I thought I would dig deeper.

After grilling a couple of them, they let their secret spill: they were all buying their toys at an India Gadget store online.  Now, having never purchased any electronics online, I was a bit skeptical, but all my friends assured me that it was safe - and that they all have had good experiences up to this point.

So, I went home an did a quick search for "Gadget India" and clicked on the first result.  Unfortunately, it was a gaming forum - not what I was looking for.

Back at the search results, I found what I was looking for - in the second spot.  After visiting the site and poking around for half an hour, I think I have found the place to find cheap gadgets online.  Now, all I have to do is decide which one to buy… there are just too many choices.

I like to keep up on the latest iPhone news. I do not have one yet, but I will. That is a promise I have made to myself. I love Mac products and I am sure that the phone will be no different. I am hoping to have one in the next month or so.

I go to school with a friend that has one and she has the coolest iPhone games that I have ever seen. It may be part of the reason that I don’t have one yet, as it might be all I do anymore. Forget studying with all the games that I could be playing. I will probably flunk out of college.

That, of course, was just a joke. I do already own quite a few iPhone accessories. Getting the phone is inevitable. I will have it as soon as I have the money saved up, so I thought I might as well stock up on accessories now, and then I have them.

I have always thought that the job of referencing tenants would be boring, until I actually did it. I am not saying that it is never boring, as often it is, but it can be highly amusing as well. For instance, I can tell the fake people that use their relatives and they are just too good to be true.

I also get to hear funny stories about prospective tenants from previous landlords. I mean, why would these people use their previous landlord as a reference after burning the house down. Go figure. I will not even pretend to understand some people.

The worst part of my job is when I have to actually go through and check tenants. This is when I go through the tenant’s actual home to do an inspection. They always seem so nervous and treat me like I am some evil monster or something like that. It makes me uncomfortable as well. But, we do what we have to do.
